Your first Python idea
1 · Understand
A variable holds a value. The second line takes the current score, adds 3, and stores the new value.
score = 2score = score + 32 · What is score now?
Tap an answer. You can try again if you need to.
From an idea to a learning habit
Understand it. Practise it. Come back to it.
The Python example is one small beginning. Your own course follows the same rhythm, at your level.
- 1
Start with your goal
A subject, your notes or a PDF. Tell Boo your level and what you want to be able to do.
Your starting point
“I’m new to Python. Help me build my first small program.”
- 2
Learn by doing
Read an explanation, answer a question, then open the next part. Change any lesson when you need to.
Your first lesson
Variables → a worked example → your turn to try.
- 3
Keep it within reach
Create flashcards from what matters. Their review schedule adjusts to your answers.
Your next review
“What does assigning a value to a variable do?”
Your subject. Your starting point.
What are you working towards?
Here are three ways to start. Each goal becomes a course you can shape with Boo.
Prepare for an exam
“I have a biology exam on cell division.”
Turn your notes into explanations, questions about mitosis and cards for the terms you need.
Use a new language
“I want to speak Spanish on my trip.”
Practise ordering a meal, check your vocabulary and revisit useful phrases with flashcards.
Build a practical skill
“I want to write my first Python program.”
Work through variables, try code exercises and check your understanding with short quizzes.
A course you can make your own.
Edit what you learn
Your lessons stay editable. Add your own explanations, examples and interactive exercises.
Bring your Anki decks
Import and export for free. Flashcards use FSRS, the scheduler also available in modern Anki.
Practise beyond reading
Match, order, fill in the blanks, run code or take a quiz. Choose the practice that fits the idea.
Keep Boo close
Set its memory and Skills. Connect ChatGPT or Claude to read your courses; writes require a paid plan.
A clear place to start
Studying stays free.
Courses, lessons, flashcards, quizzes and Anki import are free on every plan. Keep learning from what you have made.
Creating with Boo uses limited AI credits. Free includes starter credits and a daily refill; plans add more.
Before your first course
Do I need to know where to start?
No. Give Boo a subject and your current level. You can build the course together and edit it as you go.
Can I use my own materials?
Yes. Paste your notes or bring a PDF to Boo. You can also import existing Anki decks. Check AI-generated material against your sources.
What if I use all my AI credits?
Your lessons, cards and quizzes keep working. Studying does not use AI credits. Free credits refill daily; see Pricing for the current allowances.
Make room for your next “I get it.”
Choose one subject. Build your first lesson with Boo. Start with one idea you can put into practice.
